So I have this version of "Survivor" on my iTunes which features the lyrics "not gonna compromise my Jewish history," and I can't figure out who's singing it. The iTunes store isn't offering much other than Destiny's Child, and I really don't think it's them. Googling "compromise my Jewish history" yields nothing at all.

...ah. It looks like it may in fact be Jill Sobule. Does anyone have her cover of this song? I'd like to verify that it actually is her before I change the artist information in my library, but I can't find any samples online to check against.

Yes, I AM supposed to be grading, why do you ask?

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I can also tell you that if it is not a live version (with her talking beforehand), it's from The Folk Years: 2003-2003.

Yes, I have both versions. I am that person.

All I wanted was some stupid calorie-free tv and what do I get? Stupid Orioles game.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Last day at JPL. Well, that was five years. Almost six.

I got taken to lunch by all my guys, a big pot of tulips from my Russians, a beautiful card and Starbucks card from one of the supervisors, a quill pen, and my fave aspergery guy grabbed my shoulders and hummed a few bars of She's Leaving Home before getting shaky and running away.

That's so sweet, Allyson. Especially the last.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, I am very charmed by it all, but especially Asperguy.
