I'm not evil again. Why does everyone think that?

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

Rental~ma, sj!

Breathing~ma, beth!

Why I feel I must convey this in telegraphic short sentences I don't know. Stop.

Heh. Also? Once have laptop, can't go back. Stop.

This whole thing is just freaking me out. That it's a freaking process.

Theoretically, though, you can just keep emailing them politely, and saying, "Nope, not the one," ad infinitum, right? And ask nice, fun women out to dinner or a movie or bowling or whatever, too?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

"Hey, you want to have dinner sometime? By the way, I'm e-mailing with potential wives at the moment."
I think I dated P-C a while back...

JZ and Juliana, did you get my email? Reading about the gmail problems, I thought I would just double check.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm apparently supposed to start e-mailing them and see if I like them.

They are likely to be as freaked about the whole thing as you are. DH's college roommate's parents did this to him and after he gave in and communicated with the women they felt the same as he did about the parental pressure.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Once have laptop, can't go back. Stop.

Heh. Yup.

P-C, stop me if I've got this wrong, but my understanding is that while you don't like and are freaked out by this whole process, you are committed to going through with it. In which case, I think your best course of action is to think about it as little as possible. Do whatever is expected of you with the e-mails or whatever, but don't think about it in between.

It's possible that this is very bad advice, but you are in kind of a bad situation and sometimes that calls for not really healthy behavior. Or, you know, I don't know what I'm talking about.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Aslo, P-C, ALL dating is a process. Either you meet someone at a party or from fandom or through online dating or this way or in line at the movies or, or, or.... The process doesn't matter. These women may not be someone you will like because they are coming to you this way, but, you know, they may not be someone you DON'T like either. You're single and gettign email about educated, possibly interesting, single women--enjoy that part of it.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.
