I'm in an oddly chipper mood. Hrm.
In possibly related news, we have switched to half-caf coffee and I slept great last night (we were previously caffiene free then breakfast tea drinking, so I was concerned).
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

My favorite thing about the Carpenters video? The Andy Gibb hair on the 7 guitarists.
All kinds of health-ma and coping-ma to Sean and S. (((you guys)))
Gorgeous pictures. Gorgeous SA.
Good luck on presenting yourself and your abilities in the best possible light, Suzi!
Felicitations on the Anniversary of Your Natal Day, Beth! I'm wishing you a year of pleasant gardening, house puttering, and interaction in your wonderful neighborhood, with yummy stuff to drink and rewarding work to do!
~ma to S and Sean.
Happy birthday, Beth! I hope the extra pre-birthday wishes help it to be a great day.
In the continuing saga of Ginger and the Martian Death Flu, I'm on day three of not being able to make a sound. This afternoon I'm going to have to convey my color and cut wishes to the stylist with hand gestures. I feel a lot better, except for that not talking thing.
I'm not saying that she's not being a nazi, but all she is required to do is accomodate disabled students according to the guidelines provided by whatever university office has been designated to certify students as needing accomodation under ADA.
Maybe legally. Still discrimination though. That kind of prejudice is pretty widespread and accepted, and I think people who hold it need to get smacked down.
I'm glad you're feeling better, Ginger. But the not-talking thing is worrisome. What did the dr. say?
I just subbed to the DCistas list, in fact.
I used to be subbed to that list but..I'm not anymore? I don't really get how yahoo groups work. How do I subscribe to the list? (Am feeling quite stupid)
I still had a voice when I saw the doctor Monday. It went away a couple of hours later. I had an extended period of laryngitis a couple of years ago, and it turned out to be a nodule on my vocal chords. The treatment is not talking. If not talking for a couple of weeks doesn't do it, I think there's a plan B. Anyway, I'm going to give it a few more days of silence before panicking.

Thanks, Sparky! I tried looking for "dcistas" in the yahoo groups list and got nuthin'.
Really? Damn. So all she has to do under ADA is make sure sj can get into the room?
no, the university office lets the professor know what accomodations the professor must make (i.e. I had a student that I was required to allow to use a computer in class, so I couldn't do a pop quiz, for example)
