You know what works best for Matilda, but my babies always responded well too a darkened room, soft singing, and either rocking or having me pat lightly on their backs.
Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Okay, just took some Advil, more Benedryl ('lurgies like whoa for the past few days) and chatted with a friend who is more my sister's friend and we caught up on life and then bonded over wishing the Nephlet had a slightly less chaotic home life. Man, I miss hanging out with her. We ended up being really good friends in our own right but hadn't caught up in a while.
To sum up, please be nice to your mommy, Matilda. Because you crying is the reason mommy drinks.
Matilda was all asleep by the time I arrived.
I made JZ a tuna melt and gave her a root beer and she's watching What Not to Wear and I have promised to take the next two feedings.

Cass, do you get the Science Channel? There's a great miniseries documentary on geology that they show occasionally called "Hot Rocks," and it's hosted by this awesomely gorgeous, charming young Scottish geologist named Iain Stewart who's very geekily enthusiastic about his subject. The miniseries deals specifically with Mediterranean geology and how it affected history and culture there.
