Today both mountains were out! Mt. Hood, which is not unusual but we've got a lot of rain and weather, yo. And Mt. St. Helens which, wow!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Cass, do you get the Science Channel? There's a great miniseries documentary on geology that they show occasionally called "Hot Rocks," and it's hosted by this awesomely gorgeous, charming young Scottish geologist named Iain Stewart who's very geekily enthusiastic about his subject. The miniseries deals specifically with Mediterranean geology and how it affected history and culture there.
I *love* that series. And Iain. The series is just fabulous, really.
The Science channel and Discovery Times are my true loves. Oh, I've a weakness for History International. Maybe the occasional fling with the National Geographic channel.
I wonder if "Hot Rocks" is showing again any time soon...
3 out of 4 classes graded!! Can I get a whoop? I am a grading machine today, but I don't think I have it in me to do the last class.
I'm butterscotch. Which is funny because that was my favorite flavor when I was a small child.
This apparently means I'm a leader, and goal oriented.
These people have obviously met me.
I'm awake. Waiting up. For K-Bug and her new extended curfew. So tired. Must do the mom thing. CJ is up too, not sure why, but no inclined to send him to bed either.

My Comcast has their channels set up so that 271-276 are Discovery Times, Science, Nat'l Geographic, Military, Biography, and History International. Those channels and SciFi are why I have digital cable.

I just saw an episode earlier this week--Wednesday, maybe? I'm thinking they might be showing one ep a week.

Woot!! Did you get your book read, too?

Except I rarely watch Military. So maybe a swap instead. Speed for Military and, yep, I'm happy.

I got one of them read. Started Bless Me, Ultima, but barely. Still need to read that one. I'm not teaching it, but I need to at least have read it.
I gave up on doing any more work tonight and am having a vanilla vodka/diet coke. It is Yum.
I like watching military history shows like the one on WWI, and the occasional episode on famous battles like Waterloo. Even the episode on early guns (like, 16th-18th century guns) is fascinating to me, because the weapon technology dictates military tactics, and explains exactly why (to quote Bill Cosby) "[the British] have to wear red and march in a straight line."
