Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I finally actually made some progress on my research today. I've been stuck at this point for at least a month, and today, I finally figured out how to get through this proof. Now, just need to type it up and send it to my advisor, who will not read it.

Librarian Warlord

Hil, congratulations on the proof! I hope your advisor goes temporarily blind until he realizes that he's supposed to be using those eyeballs to read your stuff.

Our wings are not tired.

I had the most lovely experience a little while ago. On the way to the grocery store I was talking on the phone and had to interupt my sister to tell her about the wonderful rainbow. I told her I'd have to hang up when I got to the parking lot so I could take a picture with my phone. I pull into the store and there are about 8 people standing in the middle of the parking lot taking pictures of the rainbow with their phones. I felt all connected with the universe and my fellow man. I'll post it after I finish making dinner.

I adore moments like this. It's the stringing together of moments such as this that makes life worth living.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Laura, that's a lovely story. Thanks for sharing.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Congratulations, Hil! Ptui on your advisor for not reading stuff. And also fie.

I love those communal "this is beautiful" moments. They make me feel kindly towards everyone.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

They make me feel kindly towards everyone.

Read as "they make me feel kinky towards everyone". Not that that's a bad thing.

Sometimes that, too. Depending on what kind of loveliness we're sharing.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

This happened last Friday, but it's pretty common. It was pouring outside, hailing lightning all that fun stuff. So all the electricity in the bar goes off, and yet, nobody leaves. Bartenders keep making drinks. Patrons start taking flashlights and telling jokes or stories on top of the barstools. People go outside too play in it. It was like adult camp.

I love the humans!

Rainbow Pictures: [link] [link] Cell phone pics not the greatest, but rainbow! We were excited to get 3 drops of rain. We have severe drought conditions right now.

Oooh, rainbow.

I made a yummy eggplant and cheese casserole for dinner. Yay, vegetables! Yay, food other than matzo and eggs!
