Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I can't even.

Fantastic article, Jilli! I bet the print edition, photo and all, looks smashing. There's got to be someone who can get you a copy.

Standing. Right. Here. (or well, had to skippity to the front, thanks to Brenda's heads-up in LJ, then stand up, but still)

I posted in your LJ, Jilli, but do you want a few copies for sharing/posterity purpose? I'd have to go through the terrible hardship of walking to the newstand in my building, and of course, I'm happy to do so.

Always Anti-fascist!

My dad did try to teach me for a while, sj...in '85 or whenever the Cubs had that pennant race with San Diego. My dad is a genius, with a naturally statistical brain. I'm...so not. And was probably almost stoned at the thought of him acting like other dads for a change. I've retained nothing, except that it was the Cubs and Padres. And I was a baby fiction writer even then, so there'd be a crowd shot and I'd wonder out loud what the folks in the stands were talking about and etc.(Which I've learned sports people don't really like.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Jilli, what a great article.

Franny and Isaac are such cuties.

Ah thanks, so is Em.

Em fell instantly asleep when we got into the car, she was so wiped. But when we got home, she told daddy all about her day on the bicycles and the cowboots.

Franny kept talking about "the little girl" and asking why she had to go home. I think she was a bit confused about Em's name, what with it being a letter and all.

I can't even.

Further to "The Lighter Side of Goth", the article is very prominent on page 2 (inside cover, since the Sun is a tabloid) and Jilli's picture looks great.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Dear Ex-Boss,

I know that you do not owe me severance pay - at least, legally. Ethically and morally, that's a whole other thing. You fired me over the phone, through my husband, 2500 miles away. Honestly, I know that asking for it i a stretch.

But ya know? You could stop being an asshat and at least tell me to go piss up a rope.

Ta,
Aimee

Now tagless for your comfort.

Jilli, that's an awesome article!

billytea, I hope the time passes quickly.

Dear Aimee's ex-boss,
A "yea" or "nay" will suffice. Asshattery is NOT required.
Just so ya know,
Me

I bought this bear for Owen but I'm thinking I should have also got it in pink--he's fascinated by pink at the moment. I also got what I call the Jilli-Goth-Mix at M&M world in Times Square. A pound of pink and black M&M's.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Totally.

No response to my email, so I refaxed it this morning.

Still nothing.

I'm choosing to believe he's trying to pull it from somewhere.
