Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

Yes, Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter was really quite bad. It wasn't even a good bad movie, it was just bad. We'll be covering it in the next podcast of B-Movie Bastards.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cats mating? Really one of the worst theoretically consensual sounds ever.

Please to be spaying your kitties. And then the neutering for the boys.

I was clenching my teeth enough to give myself a headache.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

From the rummmmoooorrrs, I think Vortex and I could cause a lot of fun truble together. A LOT.

Sweet weeping swine of Circe, but that's an understatement.

Apologies for skippage - punctuation and snogs all round, as needed. Teppy and The Boy are in danger of becoming another of my 'ships. What would their portmanteau be, though? The Boppy? Toy?

Meanwhile, I was wondering if you had any particular favourite sites where I might find images to take to a dressmaker? I really do need to get around to getting some skirts/blouses/dresses made for me.

Keep in mind (1) I favour ankle length skirts and (2) it is Very Bloody Hot Indeed. However, I am not averse to getting something made that I can wear other places than Thailand.

Thoughts?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I saw a pair of toe socks on Saturday that were blue, printed with snowflakes, and had Chilly Willy on the big toe! While they were adorable, I am also unsure of the toe sock and so left without them. I did pick up a pair of argyle with skulls knee socks.

ION, it is far too early to be up.

I was just commenting on that in Natter. Totally agree.

Because books.

I am up, showered, and dressed (with actual makeup on!), which is unheard for me at this hour. I had an interview at 9 -- which they *just* called to postpone. I was thisclose to walking out the door.

I guess I can have breakfast now.

Also? Toe socks make me squirm, and not in a good way.

Hey. New board.

Hi Bitches.

Just read some posts.

I do not have ADD/ADHD, but my ex-girlfriend had it bad and my sister has it as well. The medication helps a lot, though ex-gf also felt it made her over-dependent and was trying to decide if she wanted to wean herself off of it. It didn't always play well with her anxiety problems. My sister didn't like the side effects she had (it made her lose weight, which, considering she's 115 pounds and 5'10" on a normal day, is a bad thing) so stopped using it. I think just the diagnosis was enough to improve her self-esteem about schoolwork - now she has even less reason to compare herself to me and my brother, as we're hyper-focusers.

I also like toe socks, though they do not make them in my size because toe sock makers are sexist.

I feel like I should get more candles. But I probably won't.

It IS far too early to get up, especially on vacation (woohoo vacation!). I got a text from a friend telling me to look at the newspaper: apparently, a friend of ours got arrested for smoking pot outside of a concert. This would normally be fairly minor, except that she's a teacher, as were the people she was with, which apparently makes a fifth-degree possession charge with a desk-appearance ticket news. Her name is published for the world to see - thanks a lot AM New York, and remind me not to read you anymore - and apparently she might get transferred to another school. Which may be no big, since she doesn't love her school, but our fellowship program is going to be annoyed. Apparently she's on vacation somewhere out of the country, so I can't even call her and find out what's the what.

Librarian Warlord

I do not like toe socks -- the feeling of the knit between my toes rubbing together is sort of like fingernails + chalkboard. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl.

I can't get enough coffee this morning, and there were two professor's requests waiting for me when I got in today. I suspect that group will be active the next couple of days before the long weekend, when I'd really rather be thinking about when I can leave early to go walk under the cherry blossoms.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Teddy is at vet undergoing tests. Daddy and Papa very nervous.

In other news, I did my taxes yesterday. I'm getting money back, but not enough to retire on.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

because I am non mathy to the extreme and it's Monday, I must ask: how do I find out the percentage increase from my old hourly salary to my new one?
