Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Librarian Warlord

I do not like toe socks -- the feeling of the knit between my toes rubbing together is sort of like fingernails + chalkboard. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl.

I can't get enough coffee this morning, and there were two professor's requests waiting for me when I got in today. I suspect that group will be active the next couple of days before the long weekend, when I'd really rather be thinking about when I can leave early to go walk under the cherry blossoms.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Teddy is at vet undergoing tests. Daddy and Papa very nervous.

In other news, I did my taxes yesterday. I'm getting money back, but not enough to retire on.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

because I am non mathy to the extreme and it's Monday, I must ask: how do I find out the percentage increase from my old hourly salary to my new one?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Subtract old from new. Divide by old. Multiply by 100.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Poor Teddy. I hope it's something easily treatable.

I am being eaten alive by pollen.
