Hm, that's probably what the "silver" that I have is. Which does not include table settings or a coffee service, so ... I might very well be interested.
As long as I don't think about where to store it. But DH has been wanting a silver coffeepot and /or teapot for EVER. OTOH, I never entertain.
P-C, I think Hec was right in the sense that, psychologically, your mother is still in (and may never leave) India.
Yeah, I thought that's what he meant. But he seemed to be surprised to discover she was physically in Texas.
WAIK;TNC = Who Am I Kidding; That Never Closes
That's a mouthful.
(That's what she said.)
~ma to everyone. Sounds like a rough patch for most. Congrats to you, SA!
Otter cuteness to ease the pain: [link] Be sure to watch the entire thing as there is unbearable cuteness towards the end.
Congratulations again to SA!!! Good luck choosing a school.
My therapist is sending my test results and a bunch of other information to my PCP. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can get all this taken care of this week, and then I can concentrate on figuring out a paper topic for Physiological Psychology that I actually understand enough to write about. Sorry that I have been so whiny lately. The ducks are tiny, but they're getting to me.
AmyLiz, I hope the interview went well and that all your money is back in your account by tomorrow. How does someone withdraw $1000 from an ATM anyway? Isn't there usually a limit on ATM withdrawls?
My life is "just" boring...who knew I'd ever be glad about that?
Random question: does anyone know if it's possible to have the heels on a pair of boots completely changed? Say, if a pair of boots had impossibly tall louis-style heels, could I take them somewhere and have those heels removed and replaced with more sturdy heels of a sensible height?
(I'm betting the answer is no, but I'm just not sure.)
Jilli, I'm totally talking out of my ass here, but I'm thinking the answer is no. If you change the height of the heel you'll change the angle of the boot in relation to the ground (and the point where the front of the boot contacts the ground), as well as the angle of the ankle. I would think that boots are designed to a specific set of angles. If you did this it'd be as if you were walking while leaning backwards, and the ankle part of the boot might not like that.
::waits for someone who knows what they're talking about::

possibly, but you'd have to find more than your garden variety shoe repair place. You'd have to find a place that could replace a broken heel. And it might cost you a lot.
Vortex! in answer to a question you asked a while ago, I think you should change your hair for the F2F - you'll enable the traditional Buffista greeting!
