[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I guess I've got a reason to visit Michigan! I think the decision makes sense, though I am sad.

My last day (laid off) at my present biotech is April 18, followed by 3 weeks in Europe. I just got off the phone with a prospective employer who asked if I'd cut the Europe trip short.

NO.

java, just tell employers that your last day at the new job is May 11. Don't even mention the vacation.

Unfortunately, recruiter already has told people what the last day is. And it's been all over the news, here too, so anyone with familiarity with InterMune's lay-offs would know. Your advice is correct though! :)

It's okay, we'll work something out if they need me right away. My company is being awesome about interviews and flexibility, so if I needed to take some afternoons to start the new job whilst still at InterMune, it can be done.

Our wings are not tired.

My mom came and saw my apartment yesterday. She cleaned all the sinks and scrubbed all my dishes.

Would she like to visit Florida?

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I've got to start training. Like, exercising or something. Because I am going to have to gird myself to deal with 4 or so days in a mini-van with:

A two year old.
The World's Stupidest Dog
Big Dragon Evil Genius Cat
Rapidly Becoming Bigger Than BDEGC But Still Spastic and Kinda Dumb Cat.
Aimee.

So, what do people recommend? Yoga? Strength training?

Medication?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Medication?

This one. Just make sure it's something they won't catch on the breathalyzer.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My mom came and saw my apartment yesterday. She cleaned all the sinks and scrubbed all my dishes.

I used to tell my mother I'd gotten the place really filthy so she'd have something to do when she visited.

Is it true, this rumor I hear that it's Peev the Adorable's birthday?

Our wings are not tired.

When Brendon and I go to New York with the kids and animals we find it best to switch drivers every 2-3 hours. That way we don't get overly tired and it mixes stuff up. Frequent potty breaks and stretching of legs. The non-driver gets to watch a movie or play video games or nap.
