Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

But I'm boggled that Spider-Woman gets one, and that Elektra gets two. I mean, Elektra's worthy, but where the hell is Ororo? She's the nearest thing Marvel's got to Wonder Woman.

No kidding. I guess they didn't want to use two X-Men, but still. Also, no Daredevil or Doc Strange or even Nick Fury? The DC stamp set was the original core of the Justice League (except for J'onn) plus Green Arrow, Hawkman, Plastic Man, and Supergirl.

Okay, so Johnny is a different torch, how was the old one recycled in? Is that the Vision thing? I need a nap.

Yeah, it was a Golden Age - Silver Age thing originally. By coincidence, I was reading the old Avengers issues where they discovered this. Hank Pym (back when he was still a decent fellow) did a Fantastic Voyage type thing in the Vision's body to repair some damage, and noticed something strange. Neal Adams did the art. Terrific stuff.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I want to buy stock in Plastic Man stamps and use them for ever and ever.

The Hellboy cartoon-movie that aired last night on Cartoon Network is pretty good. They got Ron Perlman to do the voice, and that counts for a lot.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Missed that. I'll have to see if my DVR can catch a re-run.

Also? It was surprisingly profane for what is supposed to be kid's TV. Perlman must have said "crap" about a dozen times, along with "damn", "dumbass", and of course, "hell".

I only noticed it was on when there was about 20 minutes left. Just because they got Ron Pearlman, it made me want to watch. Thankfully, it's Cartoon Network, and they'll rerun it about a bajillion times.

I didn't even switch over to take a look. Was the art Mignola-esque, or was it their own style?

Oh, cool. It does look a little like the comic art (simplified for animation), though Hellboy looks a little more like Ron.
