Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
The Hellboy cartoon-movie that aired last night on Cartoon Network is pretty good. They got Ron Perlman to do the voice, and that counts for a lot.
Missed that. I'll have to see if my DVR can catch a re-run.
Also? It was surprisingly profane for what is supposed to be kid's TV. Perlman must have said "crap" about a dozen times, along with "damn", "dumbass", and of course, "hell".

I only noticed it was on when there was about 20 minutes left. Just because they got Ron Pearlman, it made me want to watch. Thankfully, it's Cartoon Network, and they'll rerun it about a bajillion times.
I didn't even switch over to take a look. Was the art Mignola-esque, or was it their own style?
You can see some production stills here.
Oh, cool. It does look a little like the comic art (simplified for animation), though Hellboy looks a little more like Ron.

Except he has hooves.
I read Pride of Baghdad by BKV today. It was sad. The art was really nice - pretty lions! Forgive the simple review - I've been studying most of the day and my brain is half dead.

I'm really enjoying Phonogram, and people who are actually knowledgeable about Britpop would probably enjoy it even more. Or maybe they wouldn't; because of the latest issue I've had "Common People" in my head for three days.
