Yeah, I thought I could wait 'til tomorrow -- nope. Going to go today.

Now I'm spoiler ho-ing for 1602. So far I've found out which Marvel characters will NOT appear, and that's it.
The characters are (spoiler-fonted) Wolverine and Iron Man. From an interview with Gaiman: "One of the greatest challenges for this project was in deciding which Marvel characters to include, and which to omit. In the end, Gaiman says he had two cardinal rules: "1) The Marvel Universe will come into existence much the same way we're used to, only 400 years earlier, and 2) Jettison anything that doesn't forward the story." Case in point: Wolverine. Also Iron Man, since no matter how you slice him "he's still just a bloke in armor."
Want more.
Anyone know what post I should go back to once I have read 1602?
Marty, start here: Holli "The Jossverse in Other Media" Aug 13, 2003 12:41:56 pm PDT and go forward.
BTW, the next issue of 1602 is due out on Sept. 10.

Want. Now. I e-mailed my brother a link to a good Web article about it and said "Go buy this NOW. Or you are a fool."
Thanks Steph!
Bookmarked it
Also with the WANT, NOW!
I think Paul enjoyed it, and he had no idea who any of them were. Actually, he probably enjoyed it more on first read, because he wasn't going "ooo, who's X?" like I was.
sfmarty: Sent you address and such.
Duh!
The characters: on the Virginia maid! Steph, I think your friend is correct. Snowbird was an Alpha Flight character who was a metamorph, able to transform into giant forms of artic animals (giant owls for instance) along with magical powers from being tied with the land.
on the other hand I do believe that her protector is Steve Rogers...
