You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Mysteries should play fair with the reader. It's fine to have stories that support the main book in other books, like the autopsy in JSA, but any clues of importance from those stories ought to be mentioned in the main title, as the revelation from JSA was.

Art Crawl!!!

Not fair, for example, to have the guilty party be somebody in the author's dedication.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just got my copy of IC#6, and huh. Damn. And then hrrrm.

The same person (Hank Pym) occured to me just about right away, DX. Which makes it not as weird a thought as I'd thought. Irrelevant, but it sort of helped with the mood I think I'm supposed to have at the end of the issue.

Huh.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Hee! I can get a teeny Speedy so that my teeny Robin never has to sleep alone.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

They don't have a Batman toy as insurance against that particular situation?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Stop! meara time!

Well, perhaps with a writer who had any respect for the characters and/or continuity, it might have worked out.

BW, however, has neither.

This is the point where I stick up for Bill Willingham and his awesome work on Fables, even though I respect your dislike of his take on Robin, which I can't evaluate.

I choked up a little when Wolverine said "Well, then I have two words for you..." I'm a sap like that.

I'm glad I learned about the fastball special earlier this year, so I got that. That was pretty sweet.

Steph, that was the best part.

Yeah, that was pretty great indeed. I thought the cover was overdramatic and misleading, but I've noticed that about the most recent slew of Nightwing covers.

And re: IC #6. Pretty much the same reaction. I agree with DX on the fact that Atom's narration, which states that he believes Dr. Light was the murderer, would be undermined by his guilt, and it wouldn't be playing fair. As far as the strangling goes, didn't they finger Slipknot for that? It's been clear the same person hasn't been killing everyone; Captain Boomerang was hired for the latest murder. Atom could merely be calling Calculator's shots after having killed Sue. I should have known. It's always the second one. Even in R.L. Stine's The Prom Queen, it's the second murder that's the misdirect. Like DX said, this is an old trick, throwing suspicion off yourself by being a victim. And it's always the second one! But not being well versed in DC, I can't see a motive, really. I can't imagine Atom would kill all these people just to get back with his wife. That's just...dumb. And sadistic.

Also, someone in this very thread pointed out, way back when, the discrepancy of Batman's presence when Dr. Light got his memories back, and wondered whether it was significant or an error. Kudos to you. Kudos to you.

I hear Fables is good.

However, his Batverse stuff is wretched.

I'll buy that. After all, DeKnight's work on Buffy and Angel is good, and his Smallville stuff is wretched.

Whooooaa, weird. "Save Me" just came up on Winamp.

Art Crawl!!!

I would say that DeKnight's work on ME shows is varied. (Isn't he responsible for the RV of Doom episode?)
