Wolverine's claws are supposed to retract all the way into his forearms.

eta: That's why he can pop the claws out through his palms when he needs to if his hands are bent back. Mutant healing factor, hurray!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Mutant healing factor, hurray!

Is it terribly wrong that I can hear this only in Dr. Zoidberg's voice?

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Well, be comforted by the knowledge that you're no longer alone.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Looks like I'll just be getting Uncanny X-Men and Detective Comics this week. After only three titles last week.

I guess I need to brace myself for the rest of October, it seems.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Just Ultimate Spidey for me this week.

Was wondering why there was no JLU discussion this week, then I watched my tape and went "Oh." I ended up watching the episode even though I'd seen it before, though I confess I fast-forwarded through all of Superman's dreamscape scenes.

Art Crawl!!!

I like Supe's dreamscape scenes.

Did anyone else watch "The Batman"? It had "The Catwoman" in it.

I liked them during the original airing, but last night I was more in the mood to watch people pummel each other.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I did. It dampened my enthusiasm a bit. Wasn't horrible, but it was a pretty generic read on Catwoman ("Mreowww, sexual entrendre, purrrr"), whereas they spent more time reimagining the other villains and the Batverse.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe they should have dispensed with the costume in favor of street clothes and drawn her like Ann-Margret?
