No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Perhaps that's what Bruce does too.

That would be no fun! I think...

I was just intrigued by the comment that Slade was the best strategist, especially coming from someone who knows Bats.

Captain Boomerang is a villain, yes?

Interesting observations in the whitefont, Tep.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Captain Boomerang is a villain, yes?

A-yup, although he (dubiously) worked the other side of the fence for awhile with the Sucide Squad. And Steph, to the best of my knowledge, the kid is new, but then, a lot of the villains aren't fully fleshed out with supporting characters and the like, and the only thing I know is that both sides are going to get hit before this is over. And I'd rather it be Capt. Boomerang's previously unknown son than, say Rose, Wilson, y'know?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think I might give him the props for tactician, but I think Batman does better in the way of overall strategy. To me, that includes qualities like leadership and being able to delegate and suit underlings to the tasks they're best suited for, neither of which strikes me as Slade's forte.

Note that I am also very, VERY skeptical of Slade being able to point his sword a certain way so that a man who can navigate while running at relativistic velocities will just impale himself on it obliviously. I think that sort of thing has been handled much better with Vandal Savage in the past, but the example shown is just ridiculous .

Matt, I think that was by far the most tenous proposition in a pretty slick setup. But it makes me wonder...when is the Flash ever surprised? Can he stop anywhere near as fast as he can start?

Steph, I agree with the big target sign you propose, although I hadn't considered the timing. I figure that Steph (other one, you know) and Dad will buy it, so Spoiler can bite it in War Games, and Mr. Drake is much better suited for an IC death. After all, we have obstacles to remove.

Art Crawl!!!

And neuroses to foster.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Right with you Matt, on both comments, but especially the second. As for what he did to GL, I'd like to see him try that crap on Hal Jordan.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It looks like very much of the Batfamily is going to be completely nuts by the end of "War Games"/IC. Nightwing is already decompensating, poor baby (and Sumi, I totally agree -- it drives me insane how damned many Spanish terms of endearment Tarantula uses), I get this feeling that Babs is going to be traumatized by the end of this BoP arc, and if Steph AND Mr. Drake both buy it, Timmay is going to lose his shit totally.

I hope it happens.

Damn Joss Whedon for making me like the stories that bring the pain!

I'm such an uncritical reader. That whole fight just made me think Deathstroke is soooo coooooool.

Art Crawl!!!

Where does IC happen in relation to GL?

I mean -- he must be, you know, here rather than somewhere out in space -- therefore weakened because of his messy personal life?
