Reading everything I grabbed for War Games, it becomes apparent that I prefer people's reactions to/interactions with Batman to his internal monologue. I like him talking about himself, I love other people dealing with him. Especially Batgirl. On that tip, Nightwing broke my heart too, Steph. The subtitles for that scene should have read "Dick crushes Bruce in an awkward hug, and Bruce strokes his head gently, not asking for any explanation. Yet."
Yes -- re: NW + Bats.
And you know every time that Tarantula calls Dick "Querido", I want to slap her.

Yeah, and from a practical writer's POV that's always been the reason for having a Robin
Steph I read TT #14 and totally squeed! TimNKon4Evah!
I like Gar too so....
But I've never really read Tim as Robin and I want to see him in action.
I'm still feeling the love after IC #3, especially on how the story seems to be widening from Sue's death. I was sorry to see Jean Loring as the second victim, but there's every indication that there's more to come, and the three primary targets seemingly set up are all male: Capt. Boomerang's son, Robin's dad and Superman's pal Jimmy Olson, which would go a long way toward explaining why Supes is crying on the cover of issue #1. And of course, the story of what happened to the original Firestorm seems to be weaving into this, too. Much, much fun stuff ahead.
Oddly, we still don't have a clear picture of exactly what they did to villains AFTER Light. Showing the root of the split between Hawkman and GA, however, was priceless. And we don't know how Batman figured into this. Much, much good stuff there.

ita - did you read Nightwing vs. Deathstroke?
Because - Dick just pays him off. Perhaps that's what Bruce does too.
Because I happen to be home from work today, I re-read IC 2 & 3. And my suspicion that Drake Senior has a big bulls-eye on his back came from IC #3, not from "War Games." I think he's toast.
Is Captain Boomerang's son totally new? In other words, is the kid named Plot Device? I will be really irritated if the heretofore unknown kid was introduced just to be cannon fodder. There's no emotional investment in that.
Very interesting how the panel was drawn in IC #2, to leave enough space to insert Bats, without looking weird and gappy, like something was missing.
