What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Daredevil : Jigsaw waving his hands in front of Matt's face. Priceless. Also, smelling the gunpowder. I always love when Matt actually, you know, uses his superpowers. He hasn't been doing it recently, save for the nice recognition of Natasha's heartbeat.

Ex Machina : Jeff, Did I miss any clues as to what the hell that last page is about? Do we know what's in the truck? Or who that guy is? Or was that just a suitably effective cliffhanger?

Also, has there been anyone else in the history of comics with The Great Machine's superpower? Cause that's a really cool superpower. And the police baton thing was great.

DX, they could have avoided that WTF? moment if they'd just had Shimmer creating yellow objects (or wooden ones) to take advantage of Jade's weakness. Bad research, no biscuit!

Polter-Cow, Computo from the Legion of Super Heroes has that power.

Thanks, Matt. It's one of those things that's so simple someone must have come up with it before.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Ex Machina is bugging me, because when are they going to get to the story? We've gotten some anecdotes about the mayor's past, glimpses of his life now, and some hints that a mystery is brewing, but basically it's been two issues of exposition. Mostly well told exposition, but still. Let's get to it already.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But Matt, the guy who wrote this is the same guy who wrote Jade's organic powers back in the first place, so I don't think it's so much research as "handwavy handwavy illustrate the point". (I'll have to go back to the Ion and post-Ion stuff, because I actually don't remember what, if any, weaknesses her power has. Gosh. Such a pity, that...)

P-C, re: Ex Machina: No, I have no idea what the last scene was about, but I'm confident we'll get a quick connection in the next issue. I'll dig through #1 just in case there is a clue.

DX, re same comic: Yes, it is taking a while to actually get to the plot of the story, but I kind of like this approach. However, it does lend itself to following in trades, rather than single issues. Except Vaughan seems to have one scene or image (so far) in each issue that creates "buzz". I need to think about this some more.

Art Crawl!!!

Damn, that BoP arc prior to this one is completely sold out.

Also, GC #7 -- difficult to find. (They've been looking for it -- so I just went ahead and bought #8.)

Also, put Flash #211 & 212 on hold and bought #210. It's so funny -- particularly the last page.

They did have the whole run of the current GK arc -- so I bought #50.

I looked at Green Lantern -- but I think I'm going to hope (as with BoP) that it comes out as a tpb.
