Art Crawl!!!

Damn, that BoP arc prior to this one is completely sold out.

Also, GC #7 -- difficult to find. (They've been looking for it -- so I just went ahead and bought #8.)

Also, put Flash #211 & 212 on hold and bought #210. It's so funny -- particularly the last page.

They did have the whole run of the current GK arc -- so I bought #50.

I looked at Green Lantern -- but I think I'm going to hope (as with BoP) that it comes out as a tpb.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Possibly worth a chuckle to White Wolf afficionados...

For anyone who missed it the first time out, "Starcrossed" (the JLA season finale) is rerunning tonight on Cartoon Network. I think it's at 7 or 8 p.m. EST.

Huh. I didn't realize that Hawkgirl and GL were knocking boots.

How funny is *Batman* consoling broken-hearted John?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I looked through the new issue of Eightball today and couldn't help thinking, "Oh shit, quit hanging out with Chris Ware."

I just re-read Batgirl: Year One, and I have some Batfamily/DC-verse questions.

(1) Babs is out of college in Year One. Dick is Robin. Is he younger than Babs? Did Babs graduate early?

(2) Black Canary. Is the current Black Canary -- the one in BoP -- the one in Year One? If so, how old is she?

(2a) Are Dinah and Ollie no longer an item in current continuity? (Like in IC.)

(2b) Did Dinah and Nightwing get together?

(2c) If 2b is correct, isn't the whole BoP gang a little bothered by the fact that they slept with the same guy? Or are they more bothered by the fact that they're only a diner and a beach away from turning into 90210?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

(1) Babs is out of college in Year One. Dick is Robin. Is he younger than Babs? Did Babs graduate early?

Babs is slightly older than Dick, and I believe she DID go to college early, although I'd be hard pressed to back that up.

(2) Black Canary. Is the current Black Canary -- the one in BoP -- the one in Year One? If so, how old is she?

Most likely. Her mom had been long retired by that point.

Are Dinah and Ollie no longer an item in current continuity? (Like in IC.)

Yep. They just broke up--again--in GA's book.

(2b) Did Dinah and Nightwing get together?

No, but Dinah thinks he's hot. But then, who doesn't?
