So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

(Some Young Justice is available in trade paperback, but I haven't seen any Superboy.)

I just read, um... 60+ issues.

Hee?

Probably good that it's not in trades. Unlike Bart, there's no real emotional grabby bits for me in the solo title.

Uh, that's fairly extensively covered in NML itself. Go back to his arrival at the clocktower near the end of NML -- it's a two or three issue sub-storyline.

Is that actually in the trade? I know it's part of NML, but I don't remember seeing it in the collected stuff. However, my brain at the moment is a complete mix of too much stuff.

Where does Nightwing/Babs come in his love life timeline? Before or after The Huntress?

After.

Oh, I'm sold -- I read through about #50, most of them on torrent. Need to own.

Cass is *neat*.

I think my brain oozed out my ears around the time of the Great Hypertime Saga in Superboy, as neat's the only word I can come up with for Cass.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Huh. I didn't realize that Dylan Horrocks was the writer on Batgirl.

He wrote and drew the indy comic Hicksville, which is my favorite comic ever.

Man, I'm failing to see how Batman, just by virtue of being Batman and not Bruce, hasn't suffered a break from reality.

I have to scan the panel in Batgirl: Year One where Alfred essentially calls Batman psychotic. Laughed my ass off.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't remember seeing it in the collected stuff.

Me neither. I flipped back, and it didn't happen in the last 3/5 of it. And he's not in the first 2, is he?

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

Is the next Astounishing X-Men next week then?

According to Marvel's website, it's due on July 28. It is on the end-of-the month schedule.

The Internet is buzzing with Identity Crisis spoilers, and yet, not a one of them reveals the particulars of the mystery. Which I'm happy about, mind--but man, am I antsy for the next issue.

Tell me about it. I think I've re-read #1 10 times, especially since the annotations came out. This is definitely first in the read column tonight.

Over 20 titles I'm following now. Dear GOD.

Piker. I following over that many DC titles alone. A big portion of my entertainment budget has gone over to comics in the last couple of years.

Which are your DC titles?

Crap. Have to remember to add Plastic Man, have to remember to add Plastic Man...

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I just ran out and got it. And my it's disturbing.

Victor, is that the good kind of disturbing?

I'm just really hoping that Identity Crisis has a better payoff than 1602 did. I'm still disappointed by how that ended, Peter Parquah and Bruce Banner notwithstanding.
