I look more rad than Lutheranism

Man, I'm failing to see how Batman, just by virtue of being Batman and not Bruce, hasn't suffered a break from reality.

I have to scan the panel in Batgirl: Year One where Alfred essentially calls Batman psychotic. Laughed my ass off.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't remember seeing it in the collected stuff.

Me neither. I flipped back, and it didn't happen in the last 3/5 of it. And he's not in the first 2, is he?

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

Is the next Astounishing X-Men next week then?

According to Marvel's website, it's due on July 28. It is on the end-of-the month schedule.

The Internet is buzzing with Identity Crisis spoilers, and yet, not a one of them reveals the particulars of the mystery. Which I'm happy about, mind--but man, am I antsy for the next issue.

Tell me about it. I think I've re-read #1 10 times, especially since the annotations came out. This is definitely first in the read column tonight.

Over 20 titles I'm following now. Dear GOD.

Piker. I following over that many DC titles alone. A big portion of my entertainment budget has gone over to comics in the last couple of years.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I just ran out and got it. And my it's disturbing.

Victor, is that the good kind of disturbing?

I'm just really hoping that Identity Crisis has a better payoff than 1602 did. I'm still disappointed by how that ended, Peter Parquah and Bruce Banner notwithstanding.

Which are your DC titles?

Oh dear. Let's see if I can come up with some orgainization in this list:

The Bat-titles (10):
Detective Comics
Batman
Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight
Batman: Gotham Knights
Robin
Nightwing
Birds of Prey
Batgirl
Catwoman
Batman Adventures

Supreman titles (4):
Action Comics
Adventures of Superman
Superman
Superman: Birthright - one issue left, but I'm sure I'll pick up the Lex Luthor: Man of Steel when it comes out.

Team Titles (6, soon to be 7):
JLA
JSA
JLA Adventures
Teen Titans
Outsiders
Superman/Batman
JLA: Elite

Other DC Universe characters (6):
Flash
Wonder Woman
Green Lantern
Green Arrow
Hawkman
Firestorm

Plus the Identity Crisis. DC:The New Frontier, and Caper mini-series, and Peter David's Fallen Angel series.

This doesn't include the Vertigo, Wildstorm, or ABC titles that I follow

All these titles, and I still have problems getting some books in on time. I fear for the viability of my comic book store.

It seems to me that your crack comic habit should be keeping them afloat.
