aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Just try that one issue then hayden.

Sounds good. I think I end up saying this every month or so, but here goes: thanks for the tip, CaBil!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

7 is the top of the scale.

Who else in the Marvelverse is a 7 ranked fighting skills besides Wolverine? Daredevil? Capt. America? Elektra? t /ultrageeky

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Iron Fist?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

but has a tendency to get sidetracked into subpar storylines.

Dude, Bendis is great! I love the storylines in Powers. Looking forward the the new #1. (Deena is back, y'all!) I've been reading Alias lately and am really liking that as well. The art isn't that great IMO, though. I love Oeming's stuff. That what is so awesome about Powers - the art and the writing are terrific.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I do not know. But now I need to find out.

I have read about zero Captain America, but he's hysterical in Secret War. Moreso because of filtering it through Nick Fury's POV. I she always so crabby?

I just peeked around, and I'm not sure the other Marvel people have numbers yet, or that if they did they'd be comparable -- the X-issue is the first of a new set of Official Handbooks.

Pfft.

Oh, and here:

Kitty's speed is the speed of a normal human -- that's not under debate.

That's meant to be a question -- also, for calibration, 2 is normal human.

I may have to seize the cat.

Also, she and Kitty have a contentious history. I think she basically kidnapped her at one time, and forced her to join the Hellions, back when Emma wasn't a good guy.

Then there was the whole "Who's school will Kitty go to?" issue, and I don't think Emma ever forgave her for picking Xavier's.

Yeah, I'm mostly Marvel as well, with Vertigo and Image exceptions.

Oh yeah. DUH. Image. How could I forget Image? And America's Best & sometimes Top Cow. Only very rarely on those 2.

...so at used stores today I found both Dark Knight Returns and Dark Knight Strikes again. Oh and Catwoman: Her Sister's Keeper. But I didn't buy any of them, because I didn't like the condition they were in.

...off to email resume and read Y - the Last Man.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Damn you and your gf Gloomcookie! DDAAMMMNNN YYYYOOOUUUU!!

I still have to return your copy of "Who Killed Retro Girl?" though I wanna keep it and love it forever and ever, and I picked up "Roleplay".

I'm a Powers addict, now, you pusher, you.

Damn you.

And thanks.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I've been reading Alias lately and am really liking that as well. The art isn't that great IMO, though.

Alias is pretty cool, yeah. The storylines are nice and dark, but since they're not as wham-bam as Powers, they don't end up being as anticlimactic. The art is weird, yeah. Feels dirty. After you get through it, check out Pulse, which is great so far.

How could I forget Image?

Heh. Actually, with Powers moving to Marvel, I won't have that anymore.

I still have to return your copy of "Who Killed Retro Girl?" though I wanna keep it and love it forever and ever, and I picked up "Roleplay".

Sweet, we got another one! Yeah, "Who Killed Retro Girl?" hooked me pretty good. And "Role-play" isn't bad either. Leetle creepy, really.

Now I have to get you people into Fables. Fables, people. It's so awesome. And 100 Bullets. Superwackyconspiracyfun.

I'm another mostly Marvel, with a little Vertigo. But I can't think of any Image books I've loved.

Did Top Cow do Rising Stars? Because I loved that one. Also, I read some Wildstorm comics - mostly Warren Ellis's run on Stormwatch and the Authority, and Planetary.
