It seems to me that British actors will do most any role. I would love to see Dench in the role. She could really take off.

Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
Jack Davenport could probably do a fairly good Peter Davison-ish Doctor.
How cool would it be to go for someone really out there. Derek Jacobi as Dr. Who? He's done plenty of BBC work over the years.
Dude. Richard Coyle is the one true Doctor.
Or Richard E. Grant?
Dr. Who should be someone who inspires affection and trust, not someone who inspires one to fire bullets into the TV screen in the hope that at least some will be conducted to the actor himself.
I love Richard E. Grant! Don't be a Grant-er hater!
Sorry, but he seems to have made it his life's work to inject a contemptuous disregard of others into every role he's cast in, to the point that I can't separate the actor from his characters. He's preceeded only by Pauly Shore and Carrot Top on my "Get the fuck off my TV screen!" list.
Ooh, Richard Coyle as the Doctor -- that would be fun.
Due to gift certificate having - I bought the SFX special edition Buffy magazine?, book? I don't know what it is. It's all Buffy - it comes in this sliding case - there is a magazine-ish thing, and a portfolio (just pics).
Anyway - point: The one thing that is it in that I have never seen before is a complete (and we're talking EVERYTHING) Buffyverse timeline. It counts ever Buffyverse show, comic, book and movie as canon. It goes back to the first Slayer and up to Fray.
I thought I'd mention it because I have always thought about what a pain in the ass it would be to do just one based on the shows and Joss-written comics. And lo and behold, it is done.
It has an ep guide w/ all 144 episodes and recent interviews with the cast and a foreword (very short) written by Joss, as well.
