Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

What I love most about you core whores: the foreplay .... tina F.

So .... just in case I go out and buy a new DVD player .... will it say whether it plays vcd's or svcd's? And can I get it for under $100? (Budgetary constraints). And also - Is there any other program outside of Quicktime Plus that plays MPEG's (2, or 3)?

Our wings are not tired.

t Technology natter My Apex AD-1200 was less than $50. It plays SVCD, VCD and with a couple quick entries of numbers on the remote it is now region free and plays my region 4 DVD's! It is a piece of crap compared to my more expensive DVD player. But I love it the mostest because it plays everything. t /Technology natter

For Mac OS X there's VLC. It seems to play everything.

Like I need a hole in my head

Does anyone have a tape of last Friday's Farscape they'd be willing to share? Pretty please?

Email is in my profile. Thanks!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Hmm. Due to me being at a SciFi Channel-less hotel in Oxnard this weekend, and with no way to tape from home, I find myself in need of Friday's Farscape episode, "Prayer".

Plus, there was no Stripper!Xander to be found in Oxnard. The lord giveth, and the lord taketh away...

I delurk, therefore I am.

For those who want to know if their DVD player will play VCDs or SVCDs, check this list: [link]

I'm pretty sure Serenity is the only one I'm missing now. Have to double check.

So far I have five (six? -- left them at the boyfriend's) episodes burned. I haven't played them all the way through, but the initial testing looks good. I think I will go up to my boyfriend's early on Thursday and have a little Firefly party by myself to check the quality. *grin*

Not javachik

Drat, memfault: who is it who wants War Stories because a friend of (his/hers) plays a singing soldier in it?

Also, does anyone have the relatively recent West Wing episode that's pretty much all about CJ and her father? Goodies, postage, whatever you like for a copy, or to borrow and return. Thanks.

It was me, Java, I'd just entirely forgotten what "War Stories" was! Profile address OK? I'll send you my addy.

New, fully poseable Author!Knut.

Can I make a pre-emptive plea for a tape fairy? As I was tearing out of the house this morning I tried to set my timer to tape this week's Angel and Farscape, only to discover that my three-month-old VCR now eats videotapes. There wasn't time to arrange for an alternative, and I doubt I'll be around a TV on Wednesday and definitely not Friday. Can anyone help me out?
