It's possible that not recording that often due to the near-capacity backlog has extended the life of my DVR? At any rate, the Galavant episodes I managed to save are locked so they can only be deleted if I do it manually; now it'll fall to Agent Carter to be my most sacrosanct recordings.

It does happen to everyone. No, really. No need to be self-conscious.
Let us help you out. Missed an ep of something, Jossverse or otherwise? Ask here for help -- don't forget to include contact information, and come back and mention when you're no longer in need.
Natter will be summarily deleted.
Hey, PSA, for anyone who remembers The Sentinel from the 90s, that's finally out on DVD. The full run.
There's software that lets you offload TiVo recordings to your Mac/PC's hard drive.
Does it work for generic DVRs as well?
Does it work for generic DVRs as well?
If you are referring to my comment, no. Though I wouldn't be surprised if software for generic DVRs is out there as well.
Reviving this mostly dead thread with a very specific request.
I'm looking for a particular Buster Keaton DVD for my teaching, and one of the very few remaining copies apparently anywhere is being sold on eBay for a very reasonable CAN $8. Unfortunately, they are asking a very unreasonable CAN $57 for shipping to Germany, which pushes the whole thing over budget somewhat.
So my request is: would (ideally) a Canadian or (also good) USian Buffista be prepared to receive the disk and ship it on to me? Time is not an issue, but finances are. I can reimburse postage via PayPal.
My Keaton-deprived students and I would be extremely grateful!
If no Canadians step up I can do it, Fiona.
I'm in Canada, and I'd be happy to do it, Fiona. ETA: My profile address is good.
Thank you both so much! Sue, I have emailed you.
Was gonna offer, Fiona, till I saw Sue had your back. How much glee do I have that this thread is still of use!
