Nilly, the storage space isn't dependent on where they're displayed -- they'll be stored only the once, no matter if they're shown everywhere.
If it is decided that they should be on thread pages -- then I'd be vehemently for functionality similar to PF and WX -- the option to have or not have them displayed.

labeling bookmarksThis. Oh, and if it is on the list, I missed it, but what about the search function, or some modified/limited revamp of it? I wouldn't care if it had to be done on a thread by thread basis, and even if it was limited to X number of posts. But it sure was handy. I miss search.
