labeling bookmarksThis. Oh, and if it is on the list, I missed it, but what about the search function, or some modified/limited revamp of it? I wouldn't care if it had to be done on a thread by thread basis, and even if it was limited to X number of posts. But it sure was handy. I miss search.

I wouldn't want pictures attached to posts. This format is cool as is. Pictures in the user profiles I wouldn't mind, though.

No, because no one's specced it out. There was talk of searching by e-mail address, and vague mentions. Also, bear in mind that searching on "Polter-Cow" is one thing and "Polter Cow" is another. It mightn't be the godsend that people envision.
As for the thread search function -- it's been coded, but not tested. Warning -- it may prove to be too big a resource drain even with the modified implementation (the index files are HUGE), so it mightn't make it to prime time anyway.
P-C -- that's because Dana showed up and offered opinions, which most other people didn't do. So there wasn't anyone else to disagree with, for the most part.
The former is already implemented, and the latter is coded, but not prettified or tested.

Searching user list by e-mail address
If nothing else, I'd like to have this on the Maintain Users page, just for those times when an email shows up in the admin mailbox that says "I've forgotten both my username and password. Can you tell me what they are?" so we can help them out.
That said, I'm not sure how helpful such a feature would be to the community in general, since a lot of folks hide their addresses anyway.
I'm for "fixing the first post issue" and "enforcing no posts past 10,000."
I love labelling bookmarks, think photos are unnecessary, hope search can work someday, and don't think I care about any of the other stuff.

That's the default option, isn't it? I'd bet a lot of people have their addresses hidden just because they never un-hid it.
I think it's better if the default is deliberately unhide.
Oh sure, I just meant, I'd be surprised if the bulk of people realize they are hiding their email address.
Labeling bookmarks is the only one I care about. That would be really nice.
