You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can not see your tidy messages in gus.b

Aren't you an admin? I thought admins could see the messages. I could see Cindy's at b.net -- is that a bug?

As for the HTML content, I refreshed the screen, and the tidy message went away for post #3.

Oh, 'Gus' is not an admin. 'admin' is. I'll try that.

Hmm. Just tried logging into gus.b as 'admin/[a thing about boots] ' and got rejected. Decided to look into into gus.b:BBaBB, anyway, and saw something that looked like duplicate posts at #'s 6 and 7.

It is getting scary up in here.

I logged in as admin just fine, and posts 3, 6 and 7 all display the same, in order to test which generated the tidy message. However, 7 uses quickedits to achieve that end. Now, as admin, it tells me that post #1 was tidied.

... Just read your #8. I am having trouble duplicating the problem. Obviously, there is some difference in content between refreshed and unrefreshed first posts.

This line is of interest: $messages = tidy_get_error_buffer();

$messages contains more information than we are letting through to the user. If you can add $content .= $messages; above the if ( strpos($..., we might be able to see what is going on.

ION: 'temporarily view this post' is not doing what it is supposed to in prod.

eta: "temp view" works when it is the only entry. If you pick a post in the middle of a long page to "temp view", there is no joy.

Has anyone else had this problem? I just tested it by blocking you and temporarily viewing each of your posts, and it worked just fine.

Firefox 1.O, multipiped, Win2K. Definitely reproducible.

edit: Backing off. It only makes the single post visible. My bad.

...although, it is confusing, that it goes back to the top of the page and you have to scroll down past a lot of entries from the same blockee, looking for the one post you thought might be of interest. Maybe a header:location that passes the postid on the $_GET would be good.

t if it gets in geekier up in here, there may be an implosion
