Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

Cory Doctorow's Whuffie economy would be great for this -- it would be great if you could collect a little reward every time your Subscribe button made somebody happy. It will happen so many times every day without you knowing about it. I just recently came back from a long darkness and the threadsuck, user filter, and quickedits have all been wowing me with their convenience compared to other boards.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

ita, I've archived Natters 18-29, Bitches 12-18, and Literary 1, so you can clean house at your convenience. I'll try to get to the rest of the old stuff by the weekend.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Suh-weet. I'll get on that.

I've also fixed an un-noted bug, so that you can no longer mark a post twice.

Er, don't dump the threads yet. I just discovered an unclosed italics tag in one, so I want to check the rest of the threadsucks to make sure they're okay.

Okay. Checked and fixed, where appropriate. Clean away.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I am not able to edit the description of the link I added to Buffista Links, the one to nilly.shriftweb.org. I go into edit, I take out the final partial sentence, then click OK and I get back to the main links page again.

It hasn't changed. I tried right away, I tried later, just nothing.

I will try with IE instead of this Netscape 7.02 on OS9.

What is even happening?

I just clicked on the in-thread "subscribe" button in Bitches 21. I got this error message:

There has been an error. It's of the type we call fatal. Please don't be scared. You're not the one that's going to die.
Okay, where the $$&#&(@#& are the developers?
I hit my browser's back button, and when it took me back to the Bitches thread, the "subscribe" button had been replaced by the "unsubscribe" button. Just thought I should mention that error message.

Swouncing

I just used the beautiful new "Unsubscribe" button to unsubscribe from a closed thread, and the beautiful new "Subscribe" button to subscribe to a new one, and it's a great new feature, and thanks to all who made it real.

What Nilly said!

It is great.

I just got the nasty error message again though, when I subscribed to the new Firefly thread.

eta... Just tried it on COMM and this thread. I subbed, and got the error message, and then unsubbed and got the error message on both. Am I breaking the board? The feature works for me (subscribes me), even though I get the message.
