I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

DX -- if posts don't stretch the screens out, is there anything else manual that needs be done to prep threads for archiving besides zipping the threadsuck? Of course, there's no way to really automate it if we can't zip in PHP (anyone know if we can find a module?), but I want to make sure we're making it as simple a manual process as possible.

That's pretty much it. It got a lot easier when I decided to make the minimum assumed screen resolution 800 x 600 instead of 640 x 480. The [link] thing will make it way easier. The only thing left that I can think of that I've seen as problems are really-massively-hyphenated-words-and-phrases, and stuff in <pre> tags. Also, the <pre> tag still doesn't do line spacing quite right in Mozilla/Firefox. You get a ton of extra lines between paragraphs.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Should I make a request for making sure one quotes the correct post to respond to? ;-)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gus's code should catch the hyphenation, so it's just PRE left. Okay -- almost there.

So you don't want stuff I stuck up for. Now what?

Wait, I've changed my mind. Nothing Dana wants stays.

While I'm here, I need ten volunteers for testing.

brillig

I'll carry picket signs in favor of the ability to label bookmarks if necessary.

labeling bookmarks would be my first choice.

I will happily test whatever needs testing.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Can a stompy please reset my password to the midwest mailing list?

Note to self: having a PDA be the only place I save passwords is a bad idea, especially if I let the PDA's battery run down. Also, sync the PDA more than once every few months....

The only one who can do it is Tom Scola... Maybe...
