I think deathmatching is likely to take a very long time. Participation in the Angel deathmatches was pretty low, and I suspect it would be even lower for a show many of us have never seen, or haven't seen in well over a year.
I would rather add Angel and Buffy than cut Firefly -- I agree that a quote per minute is excessive, but I'm not sure I see a good way to slice it down unless Nilly or a trusted Nilly substitute was willing to be ruthless.
I guess people still think Lee is nice, huh?
We never thought Lee was nice. She's just sexy.
Why wouldn't we think Lee was nice? It's not like she's got a scythe or anything.

Face it, ita. I am the nice one, at least in LA.
That reminds me, I need to get mom to send out those checks again.
You know, as long as she doesn't cut my favorite quotes, it's all good. World, me, revolving... what?
A Lee and Nilly consult on quote culling sounds like a fine idea to me.
Here are the extant modification requests:

- an admin only quick edit (!STOMP) that's replaced with the stompy image
- Rearchitect code to use XML/XSLT
- Ability to label bookmarks
- On-board poll ability (is this needed now we have the voting system?)
- Searching user list by e-mail address

- More tags: BLOCKQUOTE, TT, SUB, SUP, CENTER, S (for strike)
- Correct: in "Lynx, leaving a line blank does not start a new paragraph - I have to use [br] [br] to get a new paragraph." (Also happens to Sophia Brooks in Opera 6, post 2126)
- problem with quotes in taglines
- User set style: font, colour, etc (covers for visually impaired, dislike of fonts, size, and several others)
- ?Subscribe to this thread? link in thread header
- List of threads in ?set profile? be the other way around (ie, last first)
- Threads arranged by type (NAFDA, spoiler, etc.) see BbaBB 2521 for Nou?s suggestions.
- Add First Book and heifer.org to Links page as preferred charities
- Force Beep Me and Press to the top of Message Center
- Full-screen, large font compose box for impaired vision.
- Programmatic interface for submitting to Quote Generator
- work-friendly (distinctive logo/graphics only on the front page, not when reading posts)
- Pictures, either with every post or just in the profiles
- Jump to date in thread
- message system, by which private posts can be left for other member, of limited length and retained for limited duration
- tagline archival
- (optional) birthdates in user profiles, with automatic "Happy Birthday to []" displays
- Events -- give users the ability to enter an event (JM playing guitar, ASH on Leno) which will be displayed up to the relevant date
- ?unmark? link for bookmarks on the actual post page, instead of ?marked?.
- Perhaps we should have an "Aussie counter" (or a "Backward Antipodean Counter") somewhere on the site so people don't have to keep asking.
- "we're loading over a thousand user names into the combo box every time we want to edit a title"
- Direct transcription of thoughts to posting box
I've struck out one that I don't think is required any more. I'd like people to validate the rest. Some I think are important (PostgreSQL, labelling bookmarks, etc.), others irrelevant, some less important. And I'd like to get a sense of our current prioritisation, and I'm pretty sure this isn't complete.
