The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I got a 404 error (on .net), just trying to see the previous page of posts in Natter.

eta: I also got one when I hit Read new. B.net hates me, doesn't it?

Bookmarking a post of someone you have blocked seems to work well though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's the URL, Lee, that gave you the 404?

eta: how is it .org? I even shut down .org, so I wouldn't woh pah people in the wrong site?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The 404 error seems to crop up consistently when I hit read new, but I haven't been able to make it reappear when I hit previous.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I reset my thread subscriptions, and that seems to have gotten rid of the read new problem.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The 404 page does say .org wherever in our universe you come from (except, ironically, .org). I should get on that.

It's the URL pre-that that's my concern. But it looks like subs got frelled, and I suspect it's unrelated to the blocking, and just a database issue.

I'm gonna clear everyone's subs just to be sure.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

preparing to go to .net tonight and marry ita.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm gonna clear everyone's subs just to be sure.

The funny thing is you have cleared them, which I can tell because when I open Set Profile, I can see that everything is unchecked, and yet my Message Center is still showing me my now erased subscriptions.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

One does need to log in and out (or save prefs) before your user session is updated, or wait 30 mins (IIRC).

We'd figured it too time consuming to update it every time you move around, and that server-side changes that affect your profile pretty rare.

Except, however, blocking someone's ID. That's something that should take effect right away.

We should clock the performance hit, or perhaps have a counter or a page (like message center or index page) that always reloads. Dunno.

I can test (later tonight) if you're still looking, ita.
