Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The 404 page does say .org wherever in our universe you come from (except, ironically, .org). I should get on that.

It's the URL pre-that that's my concern. But it looks like subs got frelled, and I suspect it's unrelated to the blocking, and just a database issue.

I'm gonna clear everyone's subs just to be sure.

preparing to go to .net tonight and marry ita.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm gonna clear everyone's subs just to be sure.

The funny thing is you have cleared them, which I can tell because when I open Set Profile, I can see that everything is unchecked, and yet my Message Center is still showing me my now erased subscriptions.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

One does need to log in and out (or save prefs) before your user session is updated, or wait 30 mins (IIRC).

We'd figured it too time consuming to update it every time you move around, and that server-side changes that affect your profile pretty rare.

Except, however, blocking someone's ID. That's something that should take effect right away.

We should clock the performance hit, or perhaps have a counter or a page (like message center or index page) that always reloads. Dunno.

I can test (later tonight) if you're still looking, ita.

You're also good to go, JenP, as is msbelle.

I agree with Jesse's wishes

(a) "blinvisible" linked right to the relevant part of the FAQ and (b) when you click "temporarily view this," that post was at the top of the page.

but can get over it, really fast.

I LOVE IT! COOKIES AND ICE CREAM FOR EVERYONE!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The placement of the page was a bit variable -- some browsers/connections will let it happen, some won't. What I ended up doing was making it so it's consistent with what happens if you mark a post.

"blinvisible" will link in the FAQ, it's just that it hasn't been added to the FAQ yet.

Have I mentioned how annoying that behavior is?
