All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Only the testers get a penguin thread? sniff

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, we have 14 users, but three of them are me. Anyway, that's prolly enough for now.

Yes, but so far most of the posts have been about penguins committing violence against people, and how to cook penguins. Plus some off-topic stuff about board testing.

And the Wombat thread currently allows only one person to post.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

the Wombat thread currently allows only one person to post.

Is it Billytea?

Is it Billytea?

No, and I've been thinking that's a major problem with the test board.

How is "email an admin" supposed to work? Is it hard-coded to go to admin (at) buffistas (dot) org?

Or I suppose I just could check when I get home....

edit: There is also horrible anti-penguin violence going on at the test board.

See what happens when penguins get their own thread?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is it hard-coded to go to admin (at) buffistas (dot) org?

It goes to the e-mail of user #1.

I'm gonna go over and register -- can you set me up as admin in a little? And when you have enough users, you should take the register page down.

DCJensen - Jun 07, 2004 8:01:40 am PDT #7881 of 10000
All is well that ends in pizza.

I tried to register so i can test, but the authentication email never came.

Registered under dcjensen. email same at spymac.com

Oh.

There currently is no user #1.

That might cause a problem, no?

Heh.

And when you have enough users, you should take the register page down.

Good idea. But FYI I don't have SSH access to the board from work, as our firewall blocks those ports. And my boss inisists on doing all the firewall configuration himself.

I'll check in a few minutes for ita on the test board....

Oh, and do you suppose it would go to the admin of the test board, or the real admin of buffistas.org?

edit: ita, I activated you and made you a stompy.

edit 2: Duh, I reread ita's post...

Thanks, tommy -- I never got a confirmation e-mail, though, so I can't log in.

I'd set it up to go to you for now.

What user # did the users start with?
