Just trying out a theory:
I want to see if the <pre> tag somehow negates the <font> tag in the following line.
If I'm right, then this line shouldn't be white fonted in Netscape 4.78
edit: And it isn't! God, I love the scientific method!

Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.

Next hypothesis, put the <pre> tag outside of the <font> tag.
What happens now, I wonder?
edit: That works in Netscape!
Okay, if you want to combine the <pre> tag with a <font> tag, the <pre> tag must come first, or the <font> tag won't work in Netscape.

Q. Is jengod really a goddess? A. We like to think so. She was the mistress of the original Buffista web pages on Geocities, the impetus behind our multiple redundancies, has divine knowledge of the industry, and is incredibly quick with a shooting script quote. And have you seen her interview with Andy Hallett? If she's a goddess, though, she's the lovely, modest and benevolent type, not a bimbo Hellgoddess.

Is there any way for the Phoenix to keep track of open tags so it can close them all at the end of a message? That way if I mess up and forget to close one, only I look silly.
Jengod's page has been down for a fairly long period of time; she mentioned it upthread, but I suppose it wasn't fixed.
rtsuk, there's been some talk of that. I believe it may be In The Works, at some point.
Has there been any talk of a preview-before-posting function? That would be really helpful.
I think the edit function takes the place of that, Cindy. But that's just me.
