I don't understand that. And it seems to be awfully common in ISPs response to us.

Is there something defective with our money?

I mean, that's just crazy. We seem to be able to prove it's not on our end. Why won't any provider work with us to try and solve this problem?

Well, to be fair, they did go further than most hosts would. But it's the law of diminishing returns. How many hours do you spend dealing with a single client before you start to consider them a liability?

I can see where the diminishing returns would get tiresome. I'm surprised that the help we need to sort this out is considered too much work, and surprised that they don't see how helping us solve the problem means less problems from us in the future, but I only see the what gets posted here, so I know I don't have a comlete view of the problem.

Surely there must be someplace that would not charge us stupid amounts of money to host us, and who would also help us to get our site running smoothly.

Frankly, that kind of speculation is way premature. Right now, it looks like there's a problem with one of Fangeek's servers. ita's test this evening will help verify that.

If it's a problem with one of their servers, then we get them to fix it, because they're not providing us with the level of service we're paying for. If they refuse to fix it, then we talk about leaving.

If it isn't a problem with their servers, then it's a problem with our code. We'll have to fix our code, regardless of whether or not they give us any assistance.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

First off I want to shut the board down, and test connections on the command line, so our code isn't part of the issue.

Secondly, we start hunting for a host with higher limits.

Thirdly, which can be concurrent with secondly, the code gets reviewed again.
