Okay I just started getting the cool Buffistas B in my url address window when I'm in the message center but it morphs back into the boring explorer e when I go into a thread. Just thought I'd share.

ETA: NSM on the home page either.

Wolfram, I've found that IE is amazingly capricious about whether or not it shows those icons. I've also found that when I add a bookmark for a site with one of them, it will show the icon beside the bookmark for a while, then for no apparent reason it goes back to the Explorer icon.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Halp! Natter 17 won't load for me when I click on it. Yes, I changed my profile to subscribe to it. What's wrong?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The title is strangely broken -- that may have something to do with it.

Looking at code in a sec.

edit: no longer broken. Go whoever

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I fixed it. There needed to be quotes around the times class. (i.e. class="times").

Fixed now. Thanks, whomever.

I just changed the thread title again because the quotes were messing up the maintain threads page. I replaced the double quotes with single quotes and it seems to all look good now.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

How odd. Stoopid html.

Also, I notice that when you look at the thread in the thread maintenance page, it replaces the entities with their representations, so that if you resave the thread, you probably lose them.

Another thing about the thread maintenance page. Do we need the list of editors on that page, because it's really slowing down the loading of the page?

Not really stoopid. On the maintain threads page, the thread title appears within a text box. the html for this parameter is value="Natter 17 = 4² - cos(<font class="times">... etc.

As soon as the quote at the start of "times" was reached, the value parameter was closed and the rest of the text was ignored. Using single quotes solved the problem.

However, when I went in to fix the title the first time, there were no quotes around "times" at all. Not sure how that affected things; I just know it wasn't working.
