Dear fucking god.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Eep. Officially terrified. In a good way, of course, since new, cool people are something we want, but.. they're not all posting, obviously, so I've got a much stronger We Are Being Watched feeling than I did when I didn't know just how many lurkers there are. Hi, lurkers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Alright. Jon's threadsuck has been rolled in. Please report any abnormalities.

Jon, I'm copying the modified changes to test so you can see what mods I made.

what does this threadsuck thing do?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's for downloading a lot of posts in a thread. So you can grab 3000 posts on one page -- a slimmer page than if you just set your page length to 3000 -- no graphics, no sidebar, links that only work within the document itself.

It's useful if you need to catch up and read offline.

Swouncing

ita, Jon - I just used the threadsuck option in order to download the 700 posts that were added to Natter since last night. It's a thing of beauty. No problems at all (and I was deliberately trying to threadsuck Natter from the link from this thread, with hand-writing post numbers).

Thank you ever so much, all of you who do hard and clever work for everybody else. It's working beautifully.

Oh, thank you. 3000 posts at once. That's scary, but could be handy.

Oh, 3000 is just an example. You can grab as many or as few as you want.

I think we just made Nilly's job easier, which is kudos to Jon.

Thank you so much, all of you. This is a wonderful thing-- especially says girl with dialup and a family that occasionally likes to use their phones.
