It's for downloading a lot of posts in a thread. So you can grab 3000 posts on one page -- a slimmer page than if you just set your page length to 3000 -- no graphics, no sidebar, links that only work within the document itself.

It's useful if you need to catch up and read offline.

ita, Jon - I just used the threadsuck option in order to download the 700 posts that were added to Natter since last night. It's a thing of beauty. No problems at all (and I was deliberately trying to threadsuck Natter from the link from this thread, with hand-writing post numbers).
