Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The current search function allows you to search by poster, although it doesn't do phrases yet. (You can put a phrase in, but it will be parsed as individual keywords.)

Connie, as a very rough workaround you could temporarily unsubscribe from all the other threads!

You can search a thread by adding the thread_id to the search page URL, e.g. you can search this thread by using [link]

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

search.php?thread_id=n (where n is the thread number) get you the option of searching a single thread.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

You can search a thread by adding the thread_id to the search page URL...

I sometimes use it to look up a particular person's COMM oeuvre. It's a great way to spend a dull moment. (I'm checking out Madrigal's work as we speak.)

Hee. Tee hee hee. HeeheeheeheBWAHAHAHAH!!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There is no phrase searching, but the posts are sorted by some arcane formula for relevance, so the hits near the top should be closest to being the actual phrase.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Non-tech geek person asking a question-- Hopw do we know what the thread ID is?

Dana - Dec 24, 2002 8:33:27 am PST #2270 of 10000
I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Look in your address bar while you're in the thread. The URL contains the thread ID in the form "thread_id=n".

Oh-- OK! My little thread box is teeny in Opera 6, so I have to arrow key over!

(not on topic, Dana, but I have been looking through the OMWF score and cannot find the part that really, really puzzled me. I must have been on crack, or perhaps am currently)
