You are correct TB. A separate function generates the list of threads in the right column. But it has nothing to do with the new user settable variable.

It's the QuickEdit doing that. That's why we need to keep the HTML tags and stay away from that hellbound quickedit function.

I have a question to the HTML-savvy, and I'm guessing this is where I should put it (and please let me know where to transfer it if not):
I was trying to link to a post on this board, and to white-font it. I copied the link of the post, and put it between <font color="white"> and </font> but it didn't create a link, only wrote the letters of the link. Like this:
When I tried to make it into a 'nice' link, using href (<a href="http://www.buffistas.org/showthread.php?thread_id=43&post_id=5235" target="_blank">blahblah</a>) inside the whitefont, it created the link, only it was visible - not whitefonted. Like this:
So, oh, wise Buffistas who have a vast hivemind that contains answers to all questions, including the questions themselves, what was I doing wrong this time?
