Buffistas Building a Better Board
Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
We said that at 400..
I have a question to the HTML-savvy, and I'm guessing this is where I should put it (and please let me know where to transfer it if not):
I was trying to link to a post on this board, and to white-font it. I copied the link of the post, and put it between <font color="white"> and </font> but it didn't create a link, only wrote the letters of the link. Like this:
When I tried to make it into a 'nice' link, using href (<a href="http://www.buffistas.org/showthread.php?thread_id=43&post_id=5235" target="_blank">blahblah</a>) inside the whitefont, it created the link, only it was visible - not whitefonted. Like this:
So, oh, wise Buffistas who have a vast hivemind that contains answers to all questions, including the questions themselves, what was I doing wrong this time?
Try putting the font tags inside the "nice" link like so: blahblah. t edit Hey it worked!
Oooh, secret links. Me likey!
Jon to the rescue, as is his way. Thanks!
[Edit: and ita, too, of course]
The way is <a href="http://www.buffistas.org/showthread.php?thread_id=43&post_id=5235" target="_blank"><font color="white">blahblah</font></a> since otherwise the formatting of the t a will override the t font .

Um...once in awhile when I refresh, I get a bunch of HTML code and then the message center. Not sure if this is me or the board, but it has been doing it at home, too.
So at the very bottom of the FAQ is a link. It indicates questions and suggestions should be posted in the thread following the link (which I think is supposed to be Bureaucracy).
The link goes to Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness. FYI.
