Problem described. I offer suggestion: since we can't keep your login from expiring, we should change the error message for that error to "Your login has expired after 30 minutes causing an error, hit Reload and your post may be saved."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
What you're getting is the generic error message. I've not been able to track on the back end exactly what's happening, since I've not been able to duplicate it (with lag times of over 12 hours).
