Recent was surely designed in imitation of WX's Recent, which gives you the last page.
What exactly constituted a page on WX depended on your preferences, but I'm not sure what exactly Recent does here.
I sometimes get a page, using Recent, which isn't the last page, because there's still one remaining, but
