with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

A sideways scrollbar? Yeah, that is suboptimal.

I'd also like to suggest a forced break in the top line of text for improved legibility, but I'm not sure how thread title length will affect where the break should go.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm not liking the moved-over entry box. Reason: I usually run the board in a narrower-than-regulation window in an effort to be work-friendly. That works fine, since the narrowness of the posts are well-adjusted by Opera and I can read swiftly and easily. However, the text-box-entry window is a fixed-width thing, and when I get to the bottom of the page I have to use the horizontal scroll to get the entire thing on my screen.

Is there a different kind of font called for in the text entry box than in the rest of the page? Because maybe if I adjusted that, it would also adjust in size, and then I would be golden.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Ideally, where should the break appear? Should it be in line with the text box?

Because maybe if I adjusted that, it would also adjust in size, and then I would be golden.

Nope. The size of the text box is independent of the font inside it.

I'm leaning towards moving the box back to the left, but I want to wait for a few more folks to chime in.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

I dislike the right-justified box for vague aesthetic reasons. I say move it back.

It's not right-justified --- It's left justified with the posts. But noted.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm in 1280x1024, so the position of the box doesn't matter to me. Thanks so much for adding the thread name though!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yes, thank you for adding the thread name!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Like Laura, I have lots of screen resolution to work with, so it doesn't matter where the box is. That said, having the box line up with the posts doesn't noticeably improve my posting experience over having the box on the left, so if it's causing people problems, I say move it back.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I like having it lined up with the posts, because I'm less likely to accidentally click on something on my way to the posting box.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd prefer the thread title not to be so obviously coloured, since it chips away at my stealth mode (read .... ita scrolls down to the bottom of the screen and pretends to be busy).
