I thought the episode was okay, but nothing special.
If Daphne really is dead, they did a really crappy job of conveying that point. Shot!=dead, especially in TV land. Though I was wondering why they just left her behind, so maybe she really is dead, in which case "Bad show, no biscuit!"
You'd think someone would bother to mention it, particularly Claire yelling at HRG and Nathan about it, or something.
Dan Byrd from Any Day Now and Aliens in America.
That freaked me out a little bit, but I'm glad he's gotten work because he was great in AiA.
They definitely should have made Daphne a big deal. Matt didn't even seem all that broken up about it.
Considering he met her, fell in love with her, and convinced her she was in love too all in about 30 minutes, maybe his period of mourning just happened during a commercial break?
He got revenge instead of a mourning period.
Yeah, Matt did take a bunch of mercenaries out in the immediate aftermath. But still... yeah, I expect more breakdown from a guy who believed she was His Destiny.
If I ever figure out why I keep watching Heroes, then I can start working on their motivations. sigh
Heh. My motivation at this point is "I can't wait for Bryan Fuller to come back."
Will that table sit another? At the very least, I figure Claire's motivations and dialogue will start to make sense once he returns.
Catching up...
And was Peter's Mohinder cab ride a real coincidence
It was a nice harkening back to the first episode, and I liked how, for that moment at least, the two of them seemed to have come to a bit of peace with their contentious past.
Reading this, I get a Harry Chapin's Taxi song vibe.
And he said, How are you 'Hinder
I said, How are you Mary Sue
Through the too many miles
And the too little smiles
I still remember you
....
You see, I was gonna be a hero
And he was gonna learn to fly
I took off to find the secrets
And he took off to reach the sky
