The virus definitely got absorbed by Peter. I thought that this meant that he was going to be the one to spread it.
Heroes 1: We Could Be Heroes
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the show and ancillary materials such as web comics! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. Chuffa, Chuffa!
Who do you think Angela was on the phone to at the end?
For the first time ever, I want to have a paid LJ account, so I can run a poll about precisely who belongs to the "World's Greatest Dad" apron. *snerk*
It looked to me like Peter destroyed the virus by incinerating it with Ted's power. (and we saw the symbol in the ashes before they blew away. Why exactly? I call red herring.) I was going to say "he must have had a plan for how to destroy it, going in" but then I remembered about all the Stupid. Thankfully, the BroYay was able to apply some Clue.
It better not have been Bennet who shot Nathan. I'm already miffed at him for actually TAKING Bob's deal. Even though it does give him more morally grey character arc. *hugs Bennet*
Nathan got a wallop with the clue-by-four! I want to make out with him. ...Well, I did 'till he got shot. (can we please take back the do-over on Maya and give it to Nathan? pleasepleaseplease?)
Still loving Kristen Bell big-time.
Sigh, why did you have to bring Maya back, Mohinder? Haven't you displayed enough stupid for one lifetime?
I agree that Sylar should have just died at the end of season 1. In fact, even though I love to watch David Anders ham it up, he should have just died, too.
Despite the not-killing of certain people who needed it (some more than others), I really liked this episode. I was on the edge of my seat. And now wanting to know how to make the bastard studios cough up, because I need more Heroes this season!! (BTW, about the "preview"? They don't actually have anything else written, do they? So them saying it'll be back next year is them hoping the strike ends soon?)
You have to be dumb as Mohinder to be standing in the big bad's vault and not wonder if there is a security camera.
It better not have been Bennet who shot Nathan.
"I made a deal that will keep you safe." That clinched it for me.
And, though I originally thought that the virus could be destroyed by that conveniently contained (in his hands? for cripes sake) environment, the symbol glow convinced me that either Peter is the tickticktick virus bomb now..."kill the emo!dude, save the world"...or the boys will have breathed in virodust to some ill effect.
It would be quite the twist, and an unwelcome one, if the heroic heroes now had to hunt Peter. Then again, he's so noble, he would probably do a Thandie Newton in MI:2 off a cliff to save the rest of us.
Hey, now that the virus is dust, does that mean Caitlin is trapped in a less apoca-future?
By my calculations, Caitlin has now ceased to exist. Way to go, Peter.

You haven't watched enough Doctor Who. If that future has been eliminated, she could just as easily magically reappear in Montreal or Ireland or Texas.
Much of what I might have said has already been said, but I have never been so happy to see someone die as when Sylar shot Maya. Such a bummer that Mohinder brought her back.
I was shocked when Nathan got shot, but I'm slow that way.
To me, this season has been full of great moments, but somehow failed in stringing them all together. Like, what was the point of the whole Monica story, other than for Mikki to die? Why did we have scenes and scenes of the boring twins - that could have been way way shorter, as could the Hiro/Kensei storyline.

Yeah, this show takes rather linear approach to things like that, so I imagine she's stuck in a timeline where the virus didn't happen. Theoretically, since it's not like we got a glimpse of her or anything.
I thought for sure that the Company must have found another Candace in that last scene at the Bennets' - it seemed REALLY out of character for HRG to be all "Hi, I'm alive! And evil again! But it's ok this time 'cause mumblesomethingmumble!"
