Meanwhile, the Peacock has also given the hook to "Heroes: Origins," a previously announced six-episode spin-off of Tim Kring's popular drama featuring one-off tales about new characters in the show's universe. It's understood the project has been shelved indefinitely due to financial concerns as the network readies for the expected WGA strike. Kevin Smith, Eli Roth, Michael Dougherty and John August were among the names set to be involved with "Origins," which was still in the early stages of pre-production.
I suspect that the possible WGA strike will next be blamed for global warming.
victor, would that be "number one with a bullet"?
Very bummed by the news about "Origins". Although, they are adding heroes at quite a clip on the show anyway. We still have this Adam Monroe character to look forward to.
ION, with a little distance, I'm liking Monday's episode more than I did (although I'm still not crazy about it). I didn't even pick up on the echoes from Five Years Gone in Mo's storyline. He balked at injecting someone with a virus then, too (although that time it would've killed someone). I wonder if that virus is just a more lethal strain of whatever Mo's been using to cure folks now and/or whatever cocktail Tobby had cooked up to try to use on Monica? I'm kind of looking forward to next week, too, even though my first reaction was, "Destroy NY again?" I guess it's really more like the whole world (or at least the US), so that's ok. And the last future episode they did kicked serious amounts of ass. I'm optimistic.
Now that you mention it, kat perez, I sort of got the vibe that maybe the OWI wanted to make a virus that would wipe out only people with talents, like the ethnic cleansing suggested by Prez. Sylar in "Five Years Gone". Hmm.
To me West is a typical outcast teen who suddenly discovered that he has an extraordinary talent. I don't think his referencing of "aliens vs. robots" is evidence of sociopathy. In my day we called those who were not as enlightened as us, "plastics" and if I'd discovered a super power you can bet I would have made them pay a lot worse than they'd hurt me.
Ausiello confirms that they are shooting an alternate ending to episode 11 that could stand as a season finale.
And it's not even bad New Orleans. It's bad generic southern.
We just caught up last night. My wife said, "Are there no black actors in LA from the South?"
Also, on the Nikki/Jessica continuum, I suspect they may have made a deal with Jessica and gotten rid of Nikki. Everything about Ali Larter's body language said Jessica to me.
Yeah I think Ali Larter is very good at protraying the differences between Nikki and Jessica and I was sure that was Jessica. OTOH maybe she was trying to play both personalities integrated.
