Kaylee: Captain seem a little funny to you at breakfast this morning? Wash: Come on, Kaylee. We all know I'm the funny one.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Claire has mentioned never getting sick in passing (sort of, "well, you know, if I ever had a cold") -- it's not as dramatic as growing new appendages, but being illness-proof is definitely in the mix. Of course, we don't know if the anti-powers virus works by the same rules as our normal mundane viri.

ETA: Also, ewww. Also also, I'll see your 99-year-old Claire and raise you (Who S3 spoils) Canary Claire à la Doctor-in-a-Birdcage.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Things that annoyed me about this episode:

1. Okay, the supertwins are boring. It's just the same freaking story with them each week. La, la, oops, she killed someone, he un-killed them. Wonder what they'll do next week? 2. D.L. is really dead? Aw, man. Thumbs down. 3. Wow, Candace, way to be massively stupid. You know, also, I liked the mention last season that she's really overweight, but to finally see her real body only when she's lying facedown, sprawled and bloody on the floor, just did not work for me. It bothered me that we couldn't see her face, and it bothered me that seeing her overweight body felt like it was supposed to be a final indignity. Bleh. 4. Okay, the swordsman's daughter (name?) isn't *actually* going to fall for Whitey McKensei over Hiro, is she? Although I agree it seems way too short, in Hiro's timeline, for him to have gotten over Charlie so thoroughly already.

Things that rocked about this episode:

1. Ooh, SHOWDOWN between Claire and Mr. Bennet! I can't wait to see how all that falls out between them. They're probably my favorite thing about the show right now. 2. Molly and her two daddies still make me happy, but I can't help wishing the show, for all it strives for diversity in the cast and characters, would just go ahead and actually make one of the characters gay. Is that really so much to ask? 3. Was that a glimpse of Dark!Peter we just saw? I'd be down with that. I liked the shot of his new tattoo becoming the Godsend symbol, and then fading.

Wild speculation:

Niki said to Micah that he could see D.L. anytime he wanted, even though he's dead. Maybe D.L. can inhabit Niki's body too, just as Jessica did/does?? Although I guess that doesn't square with Niki going to see the Company to be cured.

Which is why I say they find some dude who looks like Bennet, put the glasses on him, and then shoot him in the face. Done!

Ha!

I'm wanting more Niki, Micah, Mama Petrelli, and Hiro...and the Hatian. But less Claire's annoying stalker, and the Boring Twins. And shirtless Peter is pretty for a sec, but the storyline is just painful.

I mean, can they not even catch a cold? Never get cancer, say? Or is it just that they're kinda . . . unbreakable?

Heh. I wrote a fic once about Buffy's superquick healing powers meaning she got cancer at a young age, once...:) All that cell replication, bound to go bad somewhere.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Claire got really sick as a baby (this is from Season 1), but then after that period of being really sick, she emerged with powers.

So I'm wondering if she was exposed to the virus and now she's fine and won't get the virus.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I thought Hiro basically had to relive a year after Charlie died, or at least some time had passed. Hmmm.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ooh, forgot to mention--my favorite thing about this season so far is that the Haitian can talk!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Ok, it wasn't a year:

Just as they are about to kiss, Hiro inadvertently teleports to Japan some time after he and Ando had left for the United States. Unable to return via his own powers, he is forced to make his way back to the diner through normal means. Ando, happy to see Hiro again, assumes Hiro used his powers (not least because Hiro now appears in a photograph on the Diner's wall taken with Charlie six months previously) and was successful, but Hiro explains that he failed and made his way back through public transportation.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

But now he must get a name. It's crazy! Even HRG has a name. Maybe it's something horrible like Urkel or Devontay and that's why no one uses it.

I gave up trying to remember everyone's individual timelines and who knows whom in which. It makes my brain hurt. And eventually one of you does a recap, so...

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, still pissy about the white Kensei storyline.

Mohinder was totally hoyay this ep, but agree that I'd rather see an actually gay character. (I miss you, gay Zach!)

However, if I were Matt's actual child, I would be a little miffed that my dad was off daddying some random kid.

It is Wrong to bring Uhura on the show after Sulu is dead, I tell you what. I had better get some flashbacks, or I am going to...grumble mightily.

Poor Hiro, wanting to come back and see his dad. And he doesn't know his dad is dead.

I would buy Evil!Peter as the killer of the 8.

And I think it's interesting that both Peter & Sylar got a powers reset. Just about had to, I guess.
